Okay so I don't know if she just hates me or if this is how she treats all new people. I rang cigarettes up wrong last night and I told the closing manager (which turns out to have a bf but that's beside the point) that I wasn't aware there was a specific way of doing things. Somehow that got construed into getting smart with him. So yeah apparently I still have that attitude problem. When I got the chance I apologized and by then I was crying from all the tension and he said he wasn't upset over the remark. The only reason he reported it to the store manager was because they were short on cigarettes and then they found out what I had done. Which I had done before and nobody had said it was wrong then. Later I found out about his preferences and I felt bad for making a comment the previous night(It wasn't anything bad. Some guy tried to hit on him and he seemed offended by it. I said something about how all kinds of tourists come here and mentioned something about there being a nightclub that caters to that type of clientele in one of the prominent hotels. He said he'd been there before and I didn't think anything of it at the time.)

Oh yeah. The store manager wanted to know if this job was too complicated for me because I screwed up my first two days on the job, allegedly gave an attitude to the trainer, messed up on the cigarettes, and gave the closing manager an attitude. So now I've got an attitude problem and I'm stupid and I'm still not showing enough initiative. I could have asked the people that had been there awhile and gotten a right answer. But if I think I'm doing something right, I'm not going to ask questions. Who asks when they think they're doing something right?

I swear I have no idea how this woman has stayed with the company for ten years. If how I'm being treated is any example of how she treats new people...Or maybe it's because I'm not a minority. The majority of the other workers are from Ethiopia with some from the Philippines and various other places. She touted how great and diverse the company was in the interview but the reality is a completely different tune.
